The La Porte County Historical Society Museum announces the results of judging and voting on vintage vehicles in the 13th annual Antique Auto Show. There were 39 registered vehicles in the July show.
Mayor’s Choice: #3 John Kolb’s 1940 Ford Coupe
Sheriff’s Choice: #17 Jim and Kathie Saunders’ 1958 Ford Fairlane
President’s Choice: #16 Neal Mulconrey’s 1971 Kharman Ghia
Fern Eddy Schultz Award: #18 Don Obermeyer’s 1908 Buick Model F
Chairman’s Choice: #1 Larry Kehoe’s 1951 Studebaker Starlite
Director’s Choice: #4 Steve Moncrief’s 1967 Chevy Nova
Assistant Director’s Choice: #23 Jack Cook’s 1968 VW Double Cab
The Public’s Choice Awards for the top five votes were:
First place: #17 Jim and Kathie Saunders’ 1958 Ford Fairlane
Second place: #1 Larry Kenoe’s 1951 Studebaker Starlite
Third Place: #3 John Kolb’s 1940 Ford Coupe
Fourth Place: Kathy Bushnell’s 1968 MG Coupe
Fifth Place: #34 Jerry and Kathy Orcutt’s 1970 Mercury Cyclone
The Auto Show Participants’ Awards for the top five votes were:
First Place: #20 Niel Hoback’s 1976 Wartburg 353
Second Place: Jerry Hoback’s 1966 Jaguar
Third Place: #18 Don Obermeyer’s Buick Model F
Fourth Place: #5 Carl Milanovich’s #1981 Camaro
Fifth Place: #8 Milan Milanovich’s 1972 Chevelle.
This is always the biggest fundraiser of the year for the museum, whose personnel offer thanks to all the participants and visitors for making this year’s auto show another great success.
The 2022 show will be on the third Saturday of July.
