Auto Plus virtual event focuses on 'empowering jobbers to succeed' - Tire Business

KENNESAW, Ga. — Nearly 450 independent jobbers participated in Auto Plus' first virtual customer event, held April 27-29.

The event was designed to connect customers with the Auto Plus leadership team and more than 40 manufacturer partners to share business updates and opportunities.

Kennesaw-based Auto Plus is the aftermarket auto parts distribution arm of Icahn Automotive Group L.L.C.

"We were thrilled to host this event and share our focus on growing our premium brand-name product offering and programs to help independent Auto Plus customers succeed," Auto Plus President and CEO Chris Cox said.

The event began with a keynote presentation, "Auto Plus Business Overview and Aftermarket Automotive Industry Trends," by Mr. Cox and Mike Buzzard, Auto Plus vice president, commercial marketing and independent sales.

"Our goal was to create an industry-leading event to prepare our jobber customers for the summer selling season and beyond and equip them with new product and promotional opportunities to drive their business," Mr. Buzzard said.

The event also focused on the company's refreshed branding, new vision, mission and values and the introduction of the customer promise: "We exceed expectations with expertise at every turn." Also highlighted were the company's product updates and supply chain optimization initiative.

The event included a daily virtual trade show experience through which jobber customers interacted with top-tier manufacturers to share company updates, product information and promotional offers.

The virtual trade show culminated with Auto Plus customer Fred Pacheco of Action Auto Parts winning the grand prize drawing of an expenses-paid trip for two to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
