Clinton Township police are investigating after two workers were shot Monday afternoon outside of an used auto dealership on the township’s northeast end.
According to police, officers were dispatched about 2:30 p.m. to respond to a 911 call reporting the shooting in the parking lot of R&R Auto Sales at 411 N. Gratiot, north of Joy Boulevard.
The caller reported the shooter was an unknown male who fired his gun at the employees and then fled on foot to a vehicle. The vehicle then took off heading south from the location.
Investigators said arriving officers encountered the two male employees who had been shot.
Police Capt. Dina Caringi said investigators don’t have a motive or know the exact circumstances that led to the shooting.
The two victims were transported to an area hospital and are being treated for their injuries. Caringi said both are reported to be in stable condition and expected to recover.
The investigation is ongoing.
R&R Auto also has a location on Utica Road, south of 12 Mile Road, in Roseville.
