Blotter: Jeep stolen from Evanston auto repair shop - Chicago Tribune

The following items were taken from Evanston Police Department reports, news releases and records. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

Motor vehicle theft

A 2008 Honda Civic was stolen from the 600 block of Howard Street on Nov. 2.

A 2007 Toyota Prius was stolen from the 2400 block of Oakton Street on Oct. 30.

A 2006 Jeep Patriot was stolen from an auto repair shop in the 600 block of Hartrey Avenue it was reported Nov. 3.

Theft

A wallet was stolen from a 2015 Nissan parked at Lee Street and Forest Avenue it was reported on Oct. 31.

Two wallets were taken from health club lockers in separate incidents in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue. The amount of losses exceeds $500.

Burglary

A bag and its contents was stolen from a residence in the 600 block of Elmwood Avenue on Nov. 3. The amount of loss exceeds $500.

Theft

A green Trek bicycle was taken from a garage in the 800 block of Monticello Place it was reported on Nov. 4.

A scooter was stolen from a sidewalk in the 1700 block of Sherman Avenue on Nov. 5.

Domestic battery

Rachid Kante, 34, of the 100 block of Custer Avenue, was charged with domestic battery Nov. 2.

He Yangin, 36, of the 1400 block of Darrow Avenue, was charged with domestic battery Nov. 5.

Jonkaki Villanueva Ramirez, 27, of the 1300 block of Brummel Street, was charged with domestic battery Nov. 7.

Robert R. Miller, 42, of the 1900 block of Emerson Street, was charged with domestic battery Nov. 6.

Drugs

Nicole D. Profit, 39, of the 7800 block of Niles Center Road, Skokie, was charged with  possession of drug paraphernalia in the 700 block of Wesley Avenue on Nov. 4.

Mansfield Lavon Wallace, 50, of the 200 block of Richmond Avenue, was charged with possession of a controlled substance in the 700 block of Wesley Avenue on Nov. 4.

Robbery

There was a robbery in the 1100 block of Emerson Street on Nov. 6 in which two people shoved the victim from behind, knocked her to the ground and took her purse.

Retail theft

Nino Harris, 43, of the 100 block of North Parkside Avenue, Chicago, was charged with retail theft in the 2200 block of Oakton Street on Nov. 4.
